CTG Brasil, a leading clean energy producer in Brazil, is supporting the National Ballet of China’s 2025 tour in Brazil, bringing a cultural extravaganza to the audiences this October. The tour presents performances of the production Guo Nian, a celebration of the Chinese New Year that presents a collection of classical and modern ballet masterpieces. The performances were staged in Brasília (October 6), Rio de Janeiro (October 9-12), and São Paulo (October 16-19).

As the main sponsor of the tour, CTG Brasil was represented by its Board Chairman, Mr. Yang Yan, who delivered a speech before the premiere of the performance at the National Theater in Brasília on October 6. He emphasized that CTG Brasil remains committed to fulfilling its social responsibilities and continuously promoting the cultural exchanges between China and Brazil. The company's support for the National Ballet of China's tour in Brazil this year will further enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples, adding a new chapter to the history of friendship between China and Brazil.

Choreographed and directed by Zhao Ming, Guo Nian offers a visual celebration that blends the European classical ballet with the symbolic richness of Chinese culture. With over 60 dancers on stage, the performance transforms the European Christmas narrative into a vibrant Chinese New Year celebration. In this unique production, the story is driven by Tchaikovsky’s original score, now reimagined and set in a traditional Beijing fair on Chinese New Year’s Eve. Chinese cultural symbols such as the twelve zodiac animals, red lanterns, and creatures from Chinese folklore turn the classic into an enchanted journey between reality and dream.
