Recently, China Three Gorges South Asia Investment Limited (CSAIL) & Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), a prestigious organization with the backing of Government of Pakistan, signed a grant agreement to renovate and rehabilitate Government Primary School Daad Bux Chang in Jhimpir, Thatta, Sindh, under CSAIL’s corporate social responsibility initiative.

Speaking on the occasion, Assistant CEO of CSAIL, Mr. Liu Yonggang said: “We at CSAIL are committed to developing renewable energy in Pakistan while supporting local communities through our corporate social responsibility. This partnership with PPAF to rehabilitate a school in Jhimpir will improve access to education for local children and contribute to community wellbeing.”
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chief Executive Officer of PPAF, Nadir Gul Barech, said the agreement formalizes a meaningful partnership between the two organizations, reflecting a shared commitment to sustainable development, community wellbeing, and inclusive growth.
The project will include the construction of new classrooms, development of boundary wall, tree plantations, installation of a water filtration system, and implementation of community mobilization and enrolment campaigns. The project aims to improve education access to local school children from the surrounding communities, improving local literacy rates in both genders.
